Abstract The essential oil of Nepeta curviflora Boiss. (Lamiaceae) grown in Lebanon, obtained by hydrodistillation of aerial parts, was analyzed by GC and GC/MS. Thirty-five compounds were identified constituting 93.2% of the oil, the major components being β-caryophyllene (50.2%), caryophyllene oxide (6.4%) and (E)-β-farnesene (5.3%).

Chemical Composition of the Leaf Oil ofLantana camara

The essential oil of the fresh leaves of Lantana camera growing in Dehra Dun was analyzed by GC and GC/MS. The major constituents identified in the oil included β-caryophyllene (23.3%), α-humulene (11.5%), germacrene D (10.9%), davanone (7.3%) and γ-curcumene (6.3%).

Volatile Constituents ofTeucrium poliumL. from Turkey

Abstract The volatile constituents obtained from the aerial parts of Teucrium polium were analyzed by GC and GC/MS. The oil was found to contain 37 components, of which 30 were identified. The major constituents were β-pinene (18.0%), β-caryophyllene (17.8%), α-pinene (12.0%), caryophyllene oxide (10.0%), myrcene (6.8%) and germacrene-D (5.3%)
